Salmonella (not e coli) was detected in an ingredient shipped into the Hershey Canada, Inc. plant in Ontario. The plant was shut down and product recalled as a precaution. Very little of the suspect product actually went into circulation. It was stopped at the warehouse and in the circulation pipeline.

My personal favorite is something you probably never heard of and can't get. Wilbur buds, made in Lititz, PA. They come in milk and dark. I like the dark.

Yep ! But it hasn't stopped me ! My Favorite is the Pure Dark Chocolate with Cranberries, Blueberries & Almonds. The only way to get it is in 8 Miniature Bite Size Bars, in a Cardboard Box, with 8 Regular Pure Dark Chocolate Miniature Bite Size Bars. Is there any way to get just My Favorite, and not the 8 + 8 Mixture ?

Dark chocolate, the darker the better. I like Ghirardelli, Dove and Lindt. Someone mentioned the Hershey's dark chocolate with blueberries, cranberries and almonds, which is also very good. I have only had one chocolate I threw away. It was Hershey's Espresso. It was horrible.

It wasn't ecoli, it was salmonella.
My fave chocolate is from Yugoslavia. Have come to love Toblerone, though. Like European dark chocolates. There is an amazing Chocolate from B.C., though, my sister brought me some back from Victoria once - can't remember the name, they were assorted chocolates. Maybe starts with a B...

I prefer German Dark Chocolate. There is a Canadian company that makes the best truffle, but I don't recall its name. About the E.coli, it got to be a hoax. Chocolate is cooked, and there is a lack of moisture for it to grow on chocolate.

i like all forms of chocolate different than for those that style like airborne dirt and dust and has a matching texture to airborne dirt and dust. i do no longer care in spite of strains there are in chocolates. Chocolate is solid for the human heart ^^.
