My friend's Turbo Tax return for 2005 has vanished from the PC. He says he can't file for this year without it. I know, it's a little late. Can't he get that info from the IRS or something? PLEASE help as he is blaming me and life is hell right now! I went to the IRS site, does he need to call them? I didn't see something nice like, "Ask IRS" lol...

The 2005 return is not a necessity to file 2006 it compares your previous return for reference, but you are supposed to print and sign your file forms. I've lost mine on a hard drive to. You do need your state info. from last year. I could be wrong I don't have a lot of write offs. (home, work mileage)
