We have been really close recently and are contemplating moving in together into an apartment. He sometimes needs to work during the weekend. He told me he would be working on Saturday. On Satuday night I did not go out with friends but waited for him. He came over very late and left early in the morning, because he needed to work for "a few more hours". He called me in the evening of Sunday - said he needed to go out afterwards with his friends.

I felt annoyed. After a weekend of working and leaving me alone he chose to go out with friends for dinner. At least he could ask me whether i would like to go with him? I am not sure now whether i should take a step back and review the decision to move in with him. If we live together and this happens i will be more annoyed i guess...am i over-reacting?

I don't think you're overreacting, but I also know that perfectly nice guys, who truly love you and don't mean to be stupid jerks can be exactly that - stupid jerks.

Try talking to him about it and see how he reacts. That will tell you more than anything else.

I think you are over reacting. Couples need space, especially after a hard day at work. He did spend Saturday night with you.

If you wanted him the whole weekend than you should have told him that on Friday, open the gates of communication and wonders will happen.

I used to have a husband like that. I remedied that situation. I got rid of him.
