Oprah spends so much time being self-righteous!
Its just that most people don't shove it in the face of others constantly.
Oprah is surrounded by people who treat her as a god and its because of her money and power. She needs to do some real soul searching.
My suggestion: Oprah, give away every last penny and then tell us how you are reaching out and helping others.

I disagree completely! Think logically for even a moment and you'll realize that Oprah doesn't NEED anything. Not money, not ratings, not your approval...Nothing! Not only is she one of the richest women in the world, but she is also one of the most generous.

She wants affirmation for all that she does. She can't seem to do good on a large scale without an audience. She would love to be an African American woman winning the Nobel Peace Prize - it has been the rumor for years.
If she is such a wonderful Christian as she professes to be, then she needs to stop the show and to do good meekly. Role model? - only for those who need one. Most American women don't.

"Celebrities" or their representatives are online all the time....it is for ratings but when a question provokes thought which then provokes action which will make our world a better place then I really could care less who it is. It might be for ratings PRIMARILY, but no one can say that Oprah isnt a woman who cares about the well-being of others, she proves it almost daily. This is a woman whose business of media communication and philanthropy keeps her busier than any president we've ever had. I commend someone whose business is giving back....Lets see if any of these other celebrities care at least to provoke thought...other than buy my album/watch my show!!!!!!!!

It is not about ratings for her show....twenty years and still going strong...she has more money than she'll ever be able to spend...she is an Angel on earth a real gift from GOD and she is very generous and kind to everyone....don't make a good thing bad...she has changed the world in such posititve ways...and it is a much better place because of her...and she did it all on her own, and she did it in an honest fashion.

No..It was about an idea. Don't concentrate on why it was anything.........Think how great it would actually be to "pay it forward" use your imagination and feel good about it. It doesn't have to be negative unless you really want it to be.

If u have seen her interviews or mags bout her....
when she was young she was raped and harassed badly by her family(mainly cousins)
she was one day hoping to help the world who was in her situation and now..she is helping more people then she has expected..
her question also gave her show ratings but its also bringing in the money to give it to more n more people..
i admire her soo much, i wish to be like her...shes against anything terrible
