Be safe, ask your doctor or pharmacist. Normally, the package instructions will tell you whether or not to discontinue the drug if side effects develop. But if you do not have access to the product literature, it is better to ask someone who knows rather than relying on the advice of your average Joe.

Of course stop taking the drug immediately if you cannot think of any other reason to why you are getting rashes. It may be that you are allergic to certain substances in the drug chantix- the best thing, would be to go see a doctor and consult about taking that drug.

If this rash showed after you started taking this medication then there's a good chance the 2 are linked. It would be wise to stop taking it now before things get worse. I have numerous allergies to drugs (the ASA in Aspirin to name one) and I almost died from the reaction to this drug. It is not something you should take lightly and waiting it out is not the way to go. There are other drugs you can take to assist with stopping smoking. Talk to your doctor but stop taking this one now.

Seek immediate medical attention if an allergic reaction occurs. Symptoms of a serious allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, or trouble breathing.
If it were me I would stop taking Chantix and see my doctor about the rash. If you also have itching, swelling, dizziness, or trouble breathing I would seek medical help ASAP. Good luck.

first of all, google the drug and see if a common side effect is a rash.
if it is a side effect, you have to decide whether to wait it out of give it up. also, call your doctor and ask him if there is another drug you can take.
if a rash is not a common side effect of a drug, go see your doctor.
by the way, thanks for giving up smoking.

If the rash has occured because of the medication, its the bodies way of saying "DON'T TAKE IT." It doesn't agree with you. Try a different medicine.

Is this a life threatening disease you are taking medication for?
Is this medication one of those that you can not just stop taking? Should say on bottle if you miss a dose take another as soon as you remember, I ask myself this when I stop taking drugs I react badly to.
Call the doctor.
The nurse will tell you if it is safe to stop taking. Being me and if this happened to me, I would stop taking it!

For sure, stop taking it. Try Nicorettes gum, it worked for me. Just don't drink anything cold while you're chewing it because it'll get as hard as a rock.
