DANG. I think we all need better hobbies than spelling a facial hair style.

How Do You Spell Goatee

Goatee

&*#$, I didn't make it first! Ok, here's my alternate answer:
It was originally spelled Goatea, as in Goat Tea, but has been changed to goatee over the latter part of the 20th century.
In the late 18th and early 19th century in the Ozark Mountains, mountain men made a type of hard liquor called "Goat Tea".
The tea was made from fermented corn mixed with goat milk.
The liquor had a thick, whitish texture, and when the mountain men drank it, it often left a ring of white around their mouths, resembling, you guessed it: the modern facial hair style we call the Goatee.
