Why would you fight to keep your life here on earth? I mean, some Christians use chemo, and other drastic means to stay alive even if they will suffer for it. Obviously your God wants you to do your best to survive but come on, when you go through so many surgeries and treatments rather than just let yourself slip away something there is a little fishy. Is there a twinge of fear in their hearts? Or just a Christian foxhole?

I"ve been waiting for this question because recently I was at a Hospice Unit,my aunt was there in her last stages of cancer. She was talking about seeing Angels and loved ones that had already past.At one point she asked me if I would pray with her and ask God to go ahead and take her home.It was a bitter sweet pray, but I was so thankful that she was so at peace with God and knew were she was going. She had put up a fight at first, but now it was settled, she wanted to go home to heaven.Later that very evening she slipped into a coma never to awaken in this life.As she laid there so at peace I went down to the nurses desk to visit a little. It had dawned on me that these nurses never see anybody get well, and I couldn't help but think how depressing that must be.I asked how they felt about that, and was surprised at the answer."Those that confess to be Christians receive the ultimate healing".So I ask another question. What about the Angels my aunt was talking about ?There was 5 nurses there, 4 were Christian ,1 was not but all 5 agreed. There was Angels in the place.Good and Bad,now the amazing part. Those that confessed to be Christians were comforted by the Angels and at peace, but those who did not believe were frightened by the Angels and put up a tremendous fight.I think God has put into all of us a desire to live,God has a desire for us to live, just look at His plan for Adam, and then He gave us His,Son so we could have life eternal. There is nothing wrong with wanting to live and it's certainly not a sin to want to.But in the final moments I think even unbelievers will admit Christians face death more at peace than most other people do.

And you are basing your question on?.... I take it you have met every Christian that has been in a life or death situation? My grandmother has been diagnosed with intestinal cancer and was told she would die without treatment almost a year ago! She has not accepted treatment and is still praising God through her illness. I think questions like this should be worded differently Why Did This Christian I know get so upset when he/she found out they were dieing" Stop generalizing everyone because of one or two or even 3 Christians you may know.

People weren't made to die. We were intended to live forever with God. Sin has brought death. Many people will go all out to live a bit longer. The question seems to be the motive. I would really like to be a part of my family as long as possible, however extreme things to prolong life or to artificially remain alive is something I would have prefered not to be started on in the first place. At the same time I would prefer to take a two week prescription and lived. If a person sin isn't covered by the blood of Jesus Christ they better get that taken care of immediately if not sooner. No one knows when they will be called.
If you haven't read the AKJV HOLY BIBLE cover to cover in a while or at all it's time to get off the net and read your bible. I will provide a free link for you if the net is your preference.

Often the issue is not one of selfishness or fear but one of caring and spiritual insight. For several people i know, the issue has never been whether they are "scared" to die, the question is whether their influence and job here on earth is done.
As a Christian, I believe our role here on earth is to impact the lives of those around us. The hope is that through our circumstances and actions/reactions, non-Christians will see God through us an be drawn to Him.
The issue of death is not so much about me as it is about the opportunity to share my life story with as many people as possible so I can turn more peoples attention away from me and towards God.

That kind of situation is really a double edge sword. Imagine if u die u will be in heaven and it will be wonderful. But all of the family is usually upset about the family and nobody wants to give their family grief. I've had 5 deaths in 3 years. I've been to alot of funerals for a 14 year old. The family just can't believe that the person could just be gone from them. PLus nobody really knows what death is like and usually try to avoid it. Long story short nobdy really wants to die.

It is the simple fact that not many of them can accept the fact that death is an essential part of life. If you can get this it makes you that much smarter, and! if they are scared like you say, then I think it may be due to the fact of false belief. If you truly believe in something then it should be complete and total realization in the fact that you are committing yourself to something and are putting time and energy into this thing. It should only be something you can truly trust.

These are people who are not sure that they are going to heaven plus society has changed. But one would question ones faith but in the end God is the one who will decide.
