I don't recommend drinking it. I opened a can of beer that was about a year old and it was disgusting.

For most beer (especially American beer), aging is bad. For homebrews however, they improve with age (just like wine). I have beers that were on the order of 7-8 years old, and they were wonderful. Young homebrews nearly always taste nasty. Stick 'em on a shelf in a dark closet and forget about them. When you go to clean out the closet, years later, you find a treasure chest that makes you forget about cleaning. :-)

Good-tasting beer depends on the life of the yeast which means that your beer has to be fresh and kept in a cool, though not freezing temp, especially with ales that must be brewed at warmer temperatures than lagers. Sierra Nevada adds a little extra yeast to the bottle before sealing their beer and the difference in taste is truly something to be cherished.

Budweiser puts a "born on date" on their bottles - and usually after about a month it tastes kinda funky - it's drinkable, but it's not as good as newer beer.

I honestly can't say I've ever drunk 15 year old beer - but it's probably going to taste pretty disgusting - it might even make you sick!

So, you should probably throw out that beer, because it will taste really awful!

Beer gets skunked when it is exposed to ultraviolet rays. It will not get skunked from sitting in a refrigerator or due to temperature change. The beer will taste extremely bad because canned beer is not meant to age. It won't kill you, but you probably will only try a sip or two of it anyway.

Well the born on date on Budweiser says do not drink 3 months past this date so I would say shelf life is 3 months.

Don't drink it. Leave unopened. You have an antique.
I'm not real sure what the shelf life is...maybe 45 days.

Beer only stays fresh for about one week, and even that is pushing it. They usually put a use by date on the bottom of the can. I wouldn't recommend drinking it, I drank a month old beer and it tasted like a**. ;)

I notice taste declining usually about a month or two after purchase.

15 year old beer will not be pleasant on your palate.

Open it up and smell it and see if funky and if not proceed to step number two and take a sip that will tell you. I wowuld refrigerate it first though.
