Sorry about this but..... VEGEMITE IS THE NASTIEST CRAP I HAVE EVER EATEN!!
If you don't know what vegemite is then here you go:
Vegemite (IPA: ['vÉdÊɪËmaɪt]) is the registered brand name for a dark brown, salty food paste made from yeast extract, mainly used as a spread on sandwiches and toast, though occasionally used in cooking. It is popular in Australia and New Zealand and is known as a national food in both New Zealand and Australia — it can be found in many Australian diaspora communities such as London. Food technologist Dr. Cyril P. Callister invented Vegemite in 1923 when his employer, the Australian Fred Walker Company, had him develop a spread from brewer's yeast after war had disrupted the supply of imported yeast spreads.
The brand is now owned by Kraft Foods, an American multinational that is part of the Altria Group of companies and Australian produced Vegemite is available in the United Kingdom.

I have never thought I would like Vegemite so have never tried it. I have eaten at McDonald's only once since I watched the film "Supersize Me" 2 or 3 years ago.

While they are both food products, you cannot compare Vegemite to McDonalads. It's like comparing an apple to a steak...
To answer your question, I personally do not like Vegemite, or McDonalds for tha tmatter. My mom is from the UK and loves Marmite, which I believe is very similar.

Haven't had vegemite in years - don't even remember what it tastes like.
Suggestions as to where someone in California might find some, I'm in Silicon Valley.
Quite willing to try again - I'll eat anything, and I vaguely recall that it was pleasant, unusual... definitely worth trying again.
Oh - and sorry about McDonalds....

If Mc Donald's was ever closed down for whatever reason, people would be eating a lot healthier and pounds would start falling from their addicted fan's weight without ever doing a thing except giving up their coveted Junk Food!!
