Well, if you want to see how your hair straightened would look than get it straighted with a flat iron(don't have one? borrow one from a friend or get it at a salon) and it you like it, then i suggest you get it chemically straightned at a salon or use EasyStraight 3 month system(Walgreens, $30). I used it and it worked but it you have extra frezzy hair then you might have to still flat iron it...
hope this helped and good luck!

You just have to get the right straightening style. I've thick and frizzy hair too, and I got the Japanese perm. It's amazing. The only downfall is that ur hair falls alot at the beginning. Also use a hair serum like biosilk or VO5. You can use a ceramic iron to work on the roots!

I have very curly hair, and for awhile, I straightened it EVERY day. I rarely used heat protectant, which dried it out completely. It would break off SO easily, and eventually went from being half way down my back, to my shoulders. I guess I didn't get the hint. Anyway, I fixed this a number of ways. Get shampoo and conditioner that is designed for dry, brittle, breaking hair. I recommend Nexxus Pro-Mend. That for Shampoo, Conditioner, AND Heat Protectant. It mends the split ends, and helps restore moisture in your hair, which are the number 1 reasons for hair breakage. Don't straighten your hair. It sucks, but it also dries it out, and sucks it of moisture. Work with your curls. Use hair serums, that restore moisture, and will also fix split ends and stuff. Try stuff from Paul Mitchell. He's a genius. (':

Well,I doubt that your hair will get poofy again just because you get your hair straightened after awhile of perming it,though I dont see what difference it will make since a perm is a combination of chemicals used to straighten hair.

If you are really tired of your frizzy hair then there's a process called Chi Iron. In this you could make your hair PERMANENTLY STRAIGHT FOR LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It costs a lot of money maybe 600 dollars but your hair will always stay straight.
