according to black females, i am an attractive black male...understanding the rarity of black male/white female relationships, how can i appropriately and successfully approach a white female and show interest in dating and such...What factors affect response. As a white female, how would you like to be approached by a black male who is interested in getting to know you!

Rarity? Hmmmm - where do you live?
I don't think looking for someone based SOLEY on their ethnicity is a good idea. I also hate that word interracial - we are all the same race. We are all just people and pretty darn similar.
I don't know how you approach black women for a date, but I can't imagine it would be much different. "May I take you to lunch?" might be a good start - if she says yes and you chat over a meal that gives you the opportunity to explore the possibility of other dates. As lunch draws to a close, tell her you really enjoyed lunch and would like to spend more time with her, would she like to go out for dinner and dancing, a movie, see a band - whatever you are into.

I don't think the black/white relationships are such a rarity, maybe because I've always lived in larger cities or military towns. I see almost as many interracial couples as I see same race couples. In my younger days (before marriage) I was approached by as many black men as I was white, some I dated and some I didn't just like the white men and I'm pretty sure they didn't approach me any differently than they did the black women. I think all women no matter their race want the same things in a man, so you just need to have a pleasing personality and be yourself, none of those phony pick up lines. Those are a big turn off. Self confidence is a big plus too so long as you don't brag, that's another thing I think all women hate. So next time you see a white woman that appeals to you go ahead and strike up a conversation, you have nothing to lose. Good Luck in finding what and who you want.

What is the problem with that? I personally think black men are more attractive than white. Color is beautiful! I just don't know any black men, my city is not very colorful. :) A person is a person, I don't know why strategy in approach need be any different.

I would think that you would talk to any white female in a club or elsewhere like you would anyone else.
If she isnt interested - she will let you know : )
