I think big lavish weddings are a waste of time and energy. Bridezillas spend all their time and money on these huge weddings and for what? Some pictures? Screw that noise. A marriage should be about love, not a huge party. I'm getting married in Vegas and going to have fun. My wedding won't be a big show. I want to focus my attention on my marriage, not the wedding. I hate big stupid weddings!

It is the day the vows were exchanged and LOVE is really important to us. It may be sappy to you as a male but you love means the world to us. If you are married take good care of your gal on that day.

Not once as a man-child did I EVER fantasize about being married. How gay is that- okayokayokay, WHATEVER. What sucks is, the whole day she totally ignores you, and never acknowledges your sportsman-like conduct, even though you're nervous, bored, embarrassed, and her dad loses his smile every time he sees you. You're just a MAN-nequin.

Women want the relationship legally recognized. The expecations are that the man will participate in this romantic formal ceremony that legallizes and publicized the relationship. Its a legitmization of your relationship. In return she takes your name, and begins to take care of your needs. You are protecting her, telling the world you are in love with her and will care for her for the rest of your lives, She begins to care for you, telling the world that she loves you and will care for your needs and make your life comfortable. Yes marriage protects a woman from being used. Yes its a protection in case of getting pregnant and having kids . But on the mans side its a way of making sure the woman in your life is YOURS and the kids are YOURS provides you are both monagamous.

I've always found this ridiculous!!! A ritual that should have gone out with witch-burning...if you ask me.
