I sent a package in the mail to Wisconson November 3rd. It's not there yet, and it's after Thanksgiving. Had the Christmas Post Office madness started before November 2006? Is there another reason for this two weak tardiness or is this package lost in the mail?

If you sent the package regular mail, it might have gotten lost and will eventually return to you. It will get disposed of if you sent materials that are not allowed. Did you sent it special delivery? That usually has a tracking number.

Anything important should be sent by Priority Mail or Parcel Post, with a "Delivery Confirmation", so you can track it online.

The only other reason is "lost in the mail" or stolen. Ask the recipient, to ask his mail carrier, if he remembers seeing the package.
