I also swiped a couple tips left on nearby tables on my way out.
It's not that I couldn't afford to,
It's that I love getting things for free.
I know it's wrong, but why do I enjoy it so much?

It's how we make our living. And where I work, the management does NOT make up the money we lose by those that bolt on the bill, steal tips from other tables or don't tip at all. It's stealing from the staff of the restaurant. And it's punishable by law if you are caught doing it. I've seen it enforced. Think about it next time you feel so inclined to to this.

Your a natural born thief. I know you never worked in a place that the servers live just about on tips alone. You won't enjoy so much if one of the servers catch you and you will get caught sooner or later.

Because in my opinion your a thief..but to each his own...As for patimus_g while it is wrong for a person to steal tips the server does not make $3.50 an hour..thats what minimum wage is for..the restaurant has to make up for any amount tips did not up to the current minimum wage and while they will not keep there job for long if it happens all the time they will never make below that set amount.

That would be stealing.
Do you like people stealing from you and do you encourage people stealing from you? Next time someone breaks into your place and steals something, jump up and say I have no gripe because the robber is just like me.
You enjoy it so much because you got away with it. You like things for free because they don't cost you anything. The things you steal however are not free and wil make you feel guiltier and guiltier the more you hold on to it or use it. People who earn their keep and earn what they deserve are more successful and feel more accomplished and happy.

Maybe you should be a server for a day. 99% of servers in restaurants make minimum wage, and by law must report their tips. If you don't tip a good server, you bring their hourly wage down to around 3.50 an hour. Try living off that. Maybe you won't enjoy it much.

bcuz theres sumthing in there that aint clickin i'm a waitress and thats how i live we only get paid 3.90 an hour and we need that money. plz dont steal from us we have kids to raise and money trouble just like everyone else.

I wouldn't worry, they probably get a lot more tips during the time that you're not there.
I honestly don't know why people get so worked up about it.
I mean, if they don't like their pay, they don't have to work there, they can get another job.
