After a little dog incident (Another question of mine, it wasn't much, just a restless dog) I just got overwhelmed. Out of nowhere I burst out in tears (And I don't cry very often) and cried for atleast 30 minutes.
I have been really bottled up lately. For about 3 years my father has had cancer, but when I found out I was naive and thought it was no big deal. For the next few years I watched him struggle with the chemo, pegintron (Hep-C as well) and verious other drugs.
He can never have a transplant (Something about no splein and low white blood cells) and now... he did something terrible. He 'harmed' himself (Thats all I am going to say on that matter) This was a week ago, besides the way.
I was upset at first, but I pushed it aside, until now. All of a sudden I am crying at random types, shaking, I am stressing out over everything, even a sad song on TV set me off!
Could I be having a nervous break down?

Sure. One day I was sitting at home, and this horrible feeling came over me. I thought I was going to just die. I started shaking uncontrollably and crying like a crazy lady. I too am stressed, and my counselor had warned me about a nervous breakdown. It's very possible. You should seek counseling. Going through a serious family illness is not an easy task.

Hi. It sounds like you are dealing with alot of emotional issues which makes sense since you are going through alot. Here's what helped me... I was in serious anxiety mode for about 4 years. I didn't go many places or do many things. I was depressed as well due to the anxiety. A combination of positive reassurance, self talk, faith, diet and REIKI is what helped me. I know when you are down it isn't easy to talk positively to yourself but even if you don't believe it and you say positive things to yourself over and over again, eventually your brain will absorb that. You are just hooked on a bad habit right now. Negative thinking is a bad habit. It can be reversed just like you learned it. REIKI is Japanese energy healing. Believe it or not this is amazing and it worked miracles for me. Look for a licensed, certified and reputable REIKI master....get yourself some sessions and I can promise you something will change for the better. I have my next session on Monday and I can't wait. I'm trying to rid of jaw pain until I can afford to have my wisdoms pulled so I know Reiki will help. I hope this helps.... Good luck and God Bless.

Yes, you COULD be, but maybe you just need an emotional break. We all feel like we are at the end of our rope sometimes, and you certianly have reason to do so. I'm sorry for you. Is there any way you can get some help, or get away for a while and just do nothing? You need to address the fact that you need a physical and emotional get away before you do have a break down. I have had one. It ain't fun. Be kind to yourself. Good luck! :) Arum

When I have problems I try to think about something else. And the one thing that helped me the most was working out.. or at least walking. It is a great help.. Good luck to you and dont let this go on too long, Just hang in there and get out of the house or room when you cant deal, find a place that you can.

More like depression and stress. Any of us would break into tears going through your life the last few years. Do you have a counselor, mininster or doctor to talk to? You need to focus on yourself and try to feel better. Depression is a medical condition and the medications really work. So call your doctor, ok? Best of luck to you!!

i'm sorry, but you are. They aren't specifically nervous break downs, but i know of many people who have anxiety depression and are subject to similair symptoms. I suggest looking up stupid videos on the internet and random things like 'cookie' or 'snow.' or watching one of your favorite movies or music videos helped me alot.

You might. I feel a whole lot like that often
Do something to cheer yourself up in the meantime. Like, do activities or go to a toy store or tune the radio to a channel playing christmas songs.

You're going through a very difficult time! I have real empathy for you. Don't bottle it up, find someone to talk to. Find somebody, a close friend, to talk to and openly express your feelings.
