Sometimes my kitty just runs all around my bedroom, like really fast. I think she's scared of seeing her reflection. I just got her out of the pound today because there was a feline distemper outbreak. What's wrong with my cat?

Also is it normal for a cat to jump on your bed?

Don't worry about it, this is COMPLETELY normal. I know that a lot of other people have already said this, but it's always good to have just one more opinion. My cats do this all the time, and from what I've heard, it would be ABNORMAL for your cat never to run around like a maniac sometimes.

You've described perfectly normal kitten behavior! There's nothing wrong with her.

I called it "the midnight crazies" when my Scooter was young because he always did it late at night, but he did it a lot of other times too.

Jumping on the bed is normal too. So is jumping on everything else!

She'll get over it. By the time she's three or four years old you'll start seeing less of the midnight crazies (or the 24/7 crazies) and in a few more years you might see less jumping too. Maybe...

Meanwhile, bolt down anything of value that's fragile and enjoy kitty's antics.

I think jumping on a bed is pretty normal for a cat. A couple of hours ago, my husband came out of the bedroom to see why I was replaced by a cat on the bed.

Your cat is a normal cat. My cats both run around like psycho freaks at least once a day. Jumping on the bed is also very normal. Don't fret.

My bathroom is connected to my bedroom and my cat will do a round RUNNING like the devil is chasing her from the bathroom into the bedroom, onto the bed (sometimes I get stomped on lol), onto the window sill then onto the floor then up on the dressers - I think she's just burning energy. Sounds normal to me...

sounds perfectly normal to me. Yes jumping on the bed is a perfectly normal cat activity. Is it windy at the moment. My cats are always twice as mad when it's windy and run around like maniacs.

It sounds like your run of the mill "raspy attack". The best gauge to help you tell when something is wrong with your cat is to determine whether it is eating or not. If it is eating and doing everything else normally, then the raspy/frisky behaviour is fine and actually quite entertaining.

Nothing! My cat does that all the time - she's just a little crazy with energy to burn. Maybe you can get her some good toys to chase around - my cat loves a laser pointer!

Normal kitty behavior-give her lots of love and she'll settle down.
