If you are talking about hair removal on the upper lip, yes there are some remedies. Lasers are a new modality for the rapid, gentle removal of unwanted hair. Lasers are not for everyone, and their proper use requires great expertise. This can usually be costly. There are temporary removal cremes, such as Nair- these are called depilatories. Waxing is also an option, and can be done at home. The cremes and facial waxing products are over the counter and can be found at any of your larger supermarkets/drugstores etc., If you are a female DO NOT shave your face! I did when I was younger, and I had whiskers for a long time!!!

I have never heard of a medicine; but you can use something like NAIR creme for hair removal ( it grows back tho ). You can do that at home yourself quite inexpensively. There is also waxing, done in salons, which will last longer that the creme removal,
Electrolysis and laser removal are permanent. Electrolysis requires several treatments, as they can only remove the hairs above the skin line, and others will keep popping out until they get them all. It is costly and somewhat painful., but it will finally be permanent. Laser is more expensive, and a newer procedure, and you should be very careful picking who does that procedure.
Since it is newer, there are more inexperienced people doing it, and that, for me, is a drawback.
