A friend of mine has a ten year old daughter. She acts more like she's 14. Recently we all went out together. She was in the back seat with me. I told her she had beautiful eyes. She looked at me and said one of your eyes is smaller then the other and it looks freaky. Ever since then I've been really upset. I have always thought one of my eyes was a little bigger then the other but no one has ever said anything to me like this before. Now I feel there's something wrong with me. Should I just let it go or should I ask some people what they think, grown ups. I mean I've had a couple people tell me I resemble Jami Gertz and a couple people have said other attractive people. But I'm really insecure and sometimes I do feel some people look at me oddly. I mean pictures don't always tell you exactly how you look. So how do I know now if there's something freaky about me?

Almost everyone has one eye a little different than the other.

I think you should relax she's just a child, granted she needs better manners. If you are seriously concerned about it discuss it with someone you trust. BUT be prepared in case you hear a answer you do not expect.

Everyone has something they can not change about themselves that they wish they could. No one is perfect. The person you are isn't defined by the way you look after all looks don't last forever. 'You' aren't your body, you are the spirit that resides in it, that is what makes you, you.

Don't be so preoccupied with things you can't change.

Now THAT Is a GREAT question!

It is called symmetry. MOST of us have one eye bigger than the other. Densel Washington is one person who has both eyes the same size.

Here is why we have one eye bigger than the other. Our body has two brains, joined together in the middle. Our DOMINANT brain, the side opposite the hand that you write with, is the stronger brain. For me it is my left hand, right brain. OK?

As you get older and older, the dominant side pushes toward the WEAKER side of your brain and body. So the WEAKER, or PASSIVE side, your eye gets smaller.

Now age a number of years, and you see the results; old people walking with a bad limp or leaning to one side. The dominant side is pushing the passive side over.

So what do you do? Weightlifting. By doing weights BOTH sides of your body become DOMINANT. Once your eye gets a bit smaller, it will not get bigger. But your body will have symmetry; ie both sides are the same, so you will spend your entire life walking normal, walking straight, and being strong.

First I would like to share with you that every person, has one side of the body that is larger than the other. That includes eyes, ears, feet and the works. There is nothing freaky about you, you sound perfectly normal to me. However I wish I could say the same about the 10 year old, she is a bad person for talking about anyone. Learn to be more positive about yourself as it sounds to me like you have low self esteem. There self help books available for this or you could speak with a counselor.

If you were really freaky looking, you would have heard it from more people than just the ten year old. I would worry about it.

I think it's true that kids usually say things that no one else will, but sometimes they tend to exagerate. I really wouldnt worry about it. you say people have compared you to attractive people, so focus on your good qualities. i know it's cheasy to say this, but everyone has their faults and you shouldnt let something like this get you down!

Do as "Diddy" does, wear sunglasses more often. Or if you wear glasses, get the kind that darken in sunlight, because they often darken indoors as well and you're protected 24/7. Vote or die!
