I went to the airport and all of a sudden they took me out of the line and checked me but noone else just me. Why?

It seems unfair, but it's really not. There are random searches at airports these days. They have to do it randomly so as not to target one group (people who appear Muslim, for example). I'm always picked for some reason. I just accept it and don't put up a fuss so I can get on the flight and get to my destination.

Even before 9/11, I'd get randomly pulled out of line. And I look like a soccer mom with a floral carryon bag. They'd do the bomb swipes and everything and let me go. I think it's always been random.

Lots of things can get you pulled aside for extra screening. How you bought your ticket has a bit to do with it--- anyone who pays cash at the ticket counter on the day of travel should be prepared for extra security screening, as should anyone who isn't on a round-trip (for example, flying from NY to Chicago to Houston then back to NY). Plus your ticket itself has a code on it which is randomly generated by a computer; get the "lucky" code and you will get extra screening. I believe this is all S's (ssssss for however many numbers it is) and it'll be printed right on your ticket or boarding pass.

They do random searches. They also profile, based on an odd assortment of triggers.
I have a friend who has been "randomly" searched the last three times he's flown.

Common man...this is just checking and frisking...they did not get anything awful from you ..is it so...then just be proud and walk away....no need to feel ashamed...frisking goes on every where....instead you should giggle..and tell them that you are tickling me!!!

even they may have received sok,e tip off that some one loking just like you may have something dangerous and prohibited items...so they misjudged and checked you...
common man just dont be so embarressed...this goes on...!!
