My son has what feels like normal breast tissue (or lumpiness), developing under 1 nipple only. Is it normal for boys to develop lumpiness, on one side? I am not talking about developing full breasts (as in gynocomastia), just lumpiness.

My husband says it's normal, but a teenage friend of my son's found a "lump" three years ago, and it was cancer, so I am alarmed and will call the doctor soon.
