AMERICA SHOULD NOT LOSE THE WAR. WE SHOULD BACK OFF AND LET THEM GO TO IT. WE ALWAYS KNEW THE PEOPLE IN THAT AREA WERE PRONE TO HOLD A GRUDGE FOREVER. THEY ARE OF A MIND THAT WE CAUSED ANYTHING BAD THAT HAPPENS TO THEM. "WE ARE THE BAD GUYS" IF WE BANDAGE THEIR WOUNDS THE ZEALOTS SAY WE ARE DOING IT WITH INFECTED BANDAGES IN ORDER TO MURDER THEM, ECT. THE POOR CHILDREN, WOMEN AND MEN WHO HAVE BEEN BRAINWASHED ARE DOOMED TO A WASTED LIFE OF HATRED.

Nobody wins in war. Death tolls add up to the point where you wonder what is the purpose of it all? I am not sure about others but I am feeling this way everyday when I read the headlines about Iraqi's and US soldiers down. I don't think anybody cares anymore about who wins, I think they just want to see an end to the conflict. My husband is in the military and no doubt will eventually get called for it. I am just praying that the recent turn of events will be clear enough for everyone to see that we need to get out. The people there are obviously not functioning in the system that we are trying to support in their country and now it has become a civil war. If this continues, we will become more and more responsible for this country due to the mess that has been made. We will either have to accept a new govt strategy that the population agrees on and help rebuild it or we will have to pull out.

The guy at the top's right. The Iraq War is already over. The war on terrorism and the act of stabilization is NOW what's going on.

The idea of LOOSING the current conflict, however, would mean that terrorists would militarily defeat us. That does NOT sound good, eh?

We're there... let's force up the Iraq walls and suffer through the consequences of entering.

not as long as we've a team of liberals helping the enemy each and each of ways and wanting to lose in basic terms because of the fact they hate Bush. i'm surprised the detrimental men have been waiting to do as much as they have given they'd desire to combat them and you. Mz Clinton and the Congress declared conflict, The president would not have that authority or accountability in our government, fool. The congress can end it every time they choose to. Why do you think of they have not? i substitute right into a average. Now i'm a die-not undemanding conservative because of the fact of Idiotic statements like this. Liberals are not even attracted to certainty. you will gladly wreck our united states and the protection of all democracies just to come back at Bush. you will gladly turn the finished unfastened international over to the Islamic Radicals. i'm hoping the subsequent super attack is close on your abode. perhaps you will understand there is a lot greater at stake than who's our president.

In reality we (US) had full intentions to topple Saddam, which by the way means bumper as in car bumper, to relieve those people; i've lived there once and trust you me, he kept an iron fist on them. So we did not start a war because our intentions were to the good. We did go in there with the attitude of your all a bunch of cow pies and that's how we're gonna treat you.
They say in the fundamentalist Islamic groups that America is going to take away Islam and that is a great fear of theirs, but in reality I don't think we care about their relegion; it's a matter of we see people who are supressed and we only wanted to help.
Here's another catch, perhaps we did not look at the question do they really want to be helped? Perhaps we have taken away the only thing that they know.
Many are thankful that we did help and we did our best and we should pat ourselves on the back for that. God did not intend for man to act like Him, He has told us to worship Him, and at times those leaders in the ME get carried away. Saddam Hussein went over board on that one. Look at me and I hate talking politics. Would you believe that he did not allow birth control because he wanted more males for his mass army? He starved his people and fed his army decent food. I mean those bunkers were filled to the hilt with good healthy food and what did the people get - well they were lucky they got a crate of milk once every three months and before he invaded Kuwait the people had to put up with these old wormy apples I've seen it.
As for eggs you didn't own your own chickens you could say you didn't have any.
Helping is not starting a war.

You have a point, but "should" and "will" are two different things. Iraq is home soil to these people. Moral generally prevails on home turf.. We may be there a while...sadly. It really does not look good.

War is generally fought over resources, and while we still have competition over these, we will ALWAYS have war.

What we really need is better alternatives to our resources.

We already won the war, in the sense that we achieved our objectives: to topple Saddam and palnt a new regime. It is now an occupation, and the difficulty of the occupation is giving us a lesson in the limitations of imposing our will on other nations.

It is not a War, it is an action. Well I guess it is a war, but the war part, Victory has been claimed twice or more. So now its just a Police Action.
We tried the same thing in Vietnam, it didnt work.
We tried the same thing in North Korea, it didnt work.
We tried the same thing in Grenada, it didnt work.
We tried the same thing in Somalia, it didnt work.
I see a pattern here.
