well think about this biologically men have to make sperm in order for it to be used so there is a biological cost to having sex. for women there is still a cost but not nearly as high. making mucus is much less energy/protien expensive than creating millions of sperm. then you also have to take into account that those few precious minutes after orgasm are the few times when the mind actually stops and you can fully relax. what does he do all day would it tire you out? and add to that the first two things and you have your answer

Ok, once and for all, Men don't love you less after sex. Actually they love you more!! Here is what happens to a man physically after sex, his body is very low on Protien, he has just used it all up, he body needs time to recover, so it shuts down, making him very sleepy, thus he usually falls asleep quickly after sex, leaving you feeling a big void. Do what the girls at work do, go out and get yourself a B.O.B. I hope I don't have to explain what that is!

I know this is a particulrly sore spot for women, and of course it is important for the man to make an effort not to just fall asleep immediately. Orgasm for a man is extremely exhausting if the session is a very good one as it involves practically every muscle in his body for an extended time.

To be honest, I am a woman and feel the same as the way you described your man. I have sex for pleasure then I am done and go to sleep as I feel relieved and at ease. It has nothing to do with me not loving my man. For me the sex act takes a lot of emotion and energy and I'm finished when it's over. You, as a person, want more physical reassurance of love. It's a personal trait of yours. Your man can perceive sex as loving you. Try not to feel insecure. If he's with you and treats you well, he cares for you. Roll over and hug him and know he's yours.

Why do people say that the guy only feels like sleeping? I feel this way too after good sex. I don't see any problem, just take a nap together. This is one reason why kids should not be having sex.. they just don't get it.. it is not just a hobby.

I read this in Cosmo (the bible) lol
When you crash imediately after having sex, it means that it was very pleasurable. When you have great sensations like that, your body goes nuts with all those good feelings. So after its over with, you get tired.
And possibly because he had to do all the work and he's exhausted. haha But either way, don't take it personally. It's just a guy thing. Don't think anything of it.

i think that you are feeling a lil insecure about your self ...he is with you.....but maybe you should take that up with him so that you could feel more respected and feel that he wants you...if you get done having sex and he just roles over and goes to sleep with out a kiss or a small hug or something like that then yes i would say you really have something to work out but the best first step is to let him know how you feel about it because there is no way he could know its hurting you with out you saying something about your feelings...

After a man finishes, it is all he can do to keep his eyes open. It is a physical thing that makes a man feel sleepy. It is an old problem that women complain about all the time, but men can't help it. It's like saying don't be horrible to live with when your on your period. You can't help it and neither can we.

after sex, men become extemely relaxed, not neccesearily tired. We will generally feel good and relaxed after any such related activity. i'm actually surprised you dont feel relaxed afterwards. next time try to cuddle and relax with him...maybe you'll fall asleep too. besides falling asleep after sex has nothing to do with not caring about you.

I have the same problem. But, from what I've heard and read, the male orgasm takes a whole lot out of the man. It seems to me, that when women orgasm it sorta gives them a hiked up amount of energy, but with men, it drains any energy that they might have had. I have to hold my fiance after we have sex, because he is so tired he rolls over and falls right to sleep. I hate it, but, I'll deal with it.
