I think for most people this is parents. Whoever raises you, be it a mom, dad, mom and dad, grandma, legal guardian -- that is the main source for morals. Personally, my mom and dad gave me a great set of values and good raising, though I didn't always heed their advice, in hindsite you see how great people were when you found them annoying. :)

My parents. They were very strict on me when I was growing up. Lots of rules and regulations. I think they taught me to respect mysrlf first. Because if I cannot do that then how can I respect anyone else?? I have seen people who have grown up with no ground rules and they are still wondering who they are. Still sliding through life like there is no end. Still taking advantage of people's good nature. Still cannot stand on their own 2 feet. SAD, really. I did not appreciate it at the time, but I am glad for the parents I had.

I learned morals and values in school, via my parents and parents in the neighborhood mostly.
I also had those values reinforced at school, through high school actually.
And I read a great deal, some great authors who valued life, kindness, the things we all should know I suppose.

My father. To me, he is the most influential person I've ever met.
He hasen't told me any mumbo jumbo like "Don't judge others"
He told me that everyone judges people. If a black man with a bandanna was walking in a "bad neighborhood" at night, what is your first thought? Gangs! Robbery! Drugs! Right? If I'm wrong then you are a saint. Everyone judges everyone constantly. Just don't let your judgement effect your relationship to that person.

me, myself, and I. my parents and relations, the church I attended, all showed me 'in spades' not to trust. I had to go outside of them and maybe it was because I met good people at first, but I found that by extending honesty I made many friends and it established a pattern, especially when some found me to be councillor, doctor, someone to talk to who kept things secreted away.
