I can assure you the child's natural instinct for survival will ensure he or she won't allow starvation to occur!
Simply do not offer this food. Offer healthy food at meal times, and allow NO snacks in between. Also no cordial drinks. Plain water and milk only.
When the child is hungry, the child will eat.
Even if it is a full day, this will have long term benefits for the child in learning good eating habits.
I'm astounded that so many answers seem to think mac and cheese is nutritious, or that packaged food is nutritious. It is far from a balanced meal. I would never feed a child packaged food. Takeaway food was not even allowed until they reached 5 years of age in my house and only then once a month or less.
While the package talks about vitamins and so on, the levels of sugars and carbohydrates in most packaged foods are a real worry.

If his weight is ok then I would do as the doctor said and not give him any snacks. He'll eat when he is hungry. If he isn't gaining weight or he is losing weight then I would take him back to the doctor. Keep a journal of everything that he eats for a week. It is easier to judge how nutritiously your child is eating if you look for a trend and not just at one day. Try giving your son pediasure. It will have all the nutrients he needs if you can't get him to eat. For the most part it is true that kids will eat when they get hungry, but for some kids that doesn't work. Never try to force him to eat. You will just be setting yourself up for a battle that no one will win. If your son is growing well and his weight doesn't seem to be an issue then just offer him nutritious food and if he doesn't eat it then it won't be your fault if he goes to bed hungry. But if there are issue with his weight then take him back to the doctor. You can't force him to eat, but the doctors can give him a feeding tube if he is seriously not eating enough.

If the toddler doesn't eat what you make for a meal, then they don't eat at all.
I would talk to your kid's doctor about giving your child a daily vitamin ( there is the flintstone's first vitamins for 2-3yrs old) or maybe getting the kid to drink some pediasure. This way while your little one is learning that they have to eat what is made for them they are still getting some vitamins, calcium, minerals, etc.
Also most little ones like to act up around meal time because they feel that this is something they can control. Maybe try giving your little one some options during the day ( like what shirt would they like to wear)
PS the supermac and cheese is enriched with vitamins and has more calcium than the normal Kraft mac and cheese.

It'll be okay. I'm sure he'll be fine.
Try grating carrots and adding them in there, or include peas in it (when my oldest did this same thing for a while, I would make mac'n'cheese and stir drained diced tomatoes, some ground meat, and some peas into it, and it stretched the mac'n'cheese, and he got all four food groups at once). You could try tricking him into eating Hamburger Helper, too. :-)
You might want to replace the macaroni from the box (I assume you use boxed mac'n'cheese) with whole wheat noodles, to add a little extra nutrition.
Talk to his doctor about supplementing his diet with Pediasure (we actually used Carnation Instant Breakfast) and a multi-vitamin to make sure he's getting all his vitamins.
Keep offering him the green stuff, but if he skips it for now, I woudln't push the issue too much. He's two years old, so doing that could turn the dinner table into a battle ground.
Best of luck!

Join the club honey! My son is 2 and that is one of his most favorite meals at this time, that and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and cereal. My doctor told me that as long as they're eating then that's all that matters so let him eat that. You can still try to give him other foods to see if he's gotten over his mac n cheese phase but always have a pot ready just in case. My 5 yr old is going back to that now too because of the 2 yr old.

Maybe you should try Pediasure or Nutri Pals if you are afraid he is not getting enough nutrients. Talk to his doctor and see what he recommends. My son is two and he doesn't not eat much at all but he has never had much of an appetite but whenever he goes to the doctors for his check-ups he is always in the average percentile. There was a time when he was drinking pediasure three times a day but only for a short period of time . You could be worried for nothing.

Don't buy Mac and cheeze, the little one will eat when hungry enough , try introducing foods suitable for his age group, sandwiches in small shapes ,but you eat them as well, and enjoy them, some cut up fruit as in a fruit salad, and as this age is very difficult, at the best of times try, some veges , mashed potatoes with some gravy , also carrots diced, and cooked but not over cooked, with a drop of honey , trial and error with young ones, just add different veges, a tablespoon, full is enough, untill his taste buds change, for dessert , yoghurt, custards, fruit, etc these are sweet so most kids like them.NO veges NO dessert , persistence wears resistence, so its up to you.

So stop giving him what he WANTS to eat and put what everyone else is having in front of him. If he doesn't eat it fine, don't force him, but don't give him anything else that he WANTS. Also, make him a part of both the meal planning and preparation. Little ones can wash vegetables, they can also hone their counting skills, tell him to count out say for potatoes for dinner, or that you want three carrots for chopping. This will give him a sense of "pride" in helping with making the meal, and he will want to eat and enjoy his work.

You need to be stern with her when you make dinner she eats what everyone else does or not at all. She will eventually catch on and eat what you give her. I have 4 year old twins and they now eat what is put in front of them because I did not allow them to tell me what they were and were not going to eat you are her mother you have to put your foot down or she will run over top of you.

Try mixing some veggies into the mac n cheese!
Don't worry, most kids go thru a phase of funny eating. They eventually grow out of it...
