yeah im 15. and i smoke. i want to quit. i told my parents that i smoke and asked them for help to quit smoking. me quit. they said to start by rolling your own ciggarets before you cut down on how many you have.

i want to know what you need and how to roll your own ciggaret, not your way of quitting, but how to roll and what you need

ok, so this doesn't answer your question, but i hope it encourages/helps you in some way or another.

congrats on your desire to quit & honesty with your parents! and congrats to them for not totally flipping out on you. i have been in your shoes before. ok, so i actually started smoking at 16 & quit about 6 months ago at 24 years old. i have had many friends try to quit by rolling their own & they never do end up quitting. the only real way is to just quit cold turkey- in my opinion. you are probably more addicted to the habbit rather than the niccotine. i found that it was actually easier for me to quit without any help rather than using the patch, etc. the times when i used other "tools" i was never successful. also, it is good incentive to tell yourself that you can have a cigarette in a few weeks, but not right now. telling yourself that this is your last or that you will never have another one only freaks you out & always made me give in. so, i have had about 4 since i "quit" and they have been crappy & nice... but it was nice to know that i could have one once in a while without making it a habit again. well, good luck!

Buddy this is a tough one, but I'll go ahead and explain in hopes your parents are right. You need to buy (rather have bought for you) a can of tobacco, rolling papers, and I'm assuming they are just wanting to frustrate you to death with it so don't bother getting the auto roller (it would defeat the purpose). Having to roll the smokes makes it take longer to get it in your mouth.
1.Take your rolling paper and put it in your hand on 3 fingers.
2.Use your thumb to push the puper down in the middle so you have a trough to put the tobacco in.
3.Use your free hand to pinch out what you think is enough to fill the cigarette.
4.Put it in the trough and even it out.
5.Roll one finger over with the paper to cover the tobacco.
6.Use your tongue to lightly moisten (lick) the edge of the paper, but don't soak it or it will tear.
7.Roll the other edge of the paper over that part with the other finger from edge to edge (takes some practice to get it right).
8.Smooth the paper over the moistened part to get it to seal.

If you don't have enough tobacco in the paper you will probably have to pinch and twist the ends to get the tobacco to stay in. Keep in mind there is no filter and it's going to be very strong. Also, the tobacco that is sold in cans is not the same thing you get in most cigarettes. Good luck on quitting. This method is either gonna teach you to quit or teach you to love your smokes...
