The answer above is absolutely wrong. I always begin house training as soon as the puppy is eating food well, at about 5 weeks, and they are all housetrained in just a few days, so nobody that buys them has to housetrain them..
Routine is the most important aspect of training. From the beginning, feed 4 times per day, at the same times, and put the bowl up in 5 minutes, or when finished.
A puppy will need to go just minutes after eating, so whisk her outside, and stay with her until she 'goes'..Giver her lots of praise when she does her job, play a few minutes, and come back in..
If you can put down a bag of sand, from a garden center, it will give her a good place to go, so you can kind of aim her there, and not just all over your yard..
After the first day, she should only need to go poop after eating, and perhaps at bedtime..
However, she will need water down at all times, and need to pee frequently..so, outside every other hour for that..and keep a close eye on her..she will need to go during active play, and every time she wakes from a nap..If you watch her, you will see her acting restless, and sniffing the floor, etc when she needs to go..at first, peeing may be just a matter of pausing, and uh-oh, there it is..She won't even be aware...So its important to never scold her for peeing...this is what makes traumatized pups that refuse to pee outside, or try to hide it in the house..as they get scolded for it, and it becomes a traumatic event..
Keep the product, Nature's Miracle, on hand, for instant cleaning of pee spots...or ask your pet supply which enzyme cleaner they recommend..
Puppies physiology only allows them to help pee for about 1 hour per month of age...so expecting any more is unrealistic..a good reason for a playpen at night..If you don't yet have a crate, then there is really no need for one, as long as you won't be traveling too long with her (carry towels, by the way) She may hold it through the night, but is likely to need to pee at least once during the night..You can remove the water a couple of hours before bedtime..
By following a routine, and being ever watchful for the first few days, you can have her petty well trained in just a couple of weeks..
I house-train all of my pups before they every leave my home, and I do it an entire litter at a time..it normally takes about 4-5 days, with very few accidents..
But, if you hang a little bell on the door, and show her you are ringing the bell each time you take her out, she is likely to begin ringing the bell when she needs to go..Just be very vigilant, and yet stay relaxed..an accident doesn't mean failure..
Remember, it takes forever to potty train a human baby, and it is so nice that puppies can learn it so much faster, but they are still allowed to be babies, and don't deserve to be stressed about the training...
If you have important areas to keep clean, just keep her away from those areas until she is a bit older..
I recommend using a harness for the walking and leash training, as it is less frightening and stressful..eventually, as trust is developed, you can switch to a collar..but a soft harness takes the fear away from the beginning.

If your dog *just* had puppies (not puppys) then they are FAR too young to be trained to do ANYTHING. Housetraining sometimes isn't even 75% until a dog is a year old and "good tricks" other than sit, lay, stay, wait, and come should not be taught until the dog is 12-18 months. A puppy training class would be very helpful, but your pup needs to be old enough to handle it.
If you don't know how to housetrain a dog and you don't know that new puppies cannot be housebroken, then you should probably get your dog fixed. With millions of animals dying in shelters each year, only ethical, experienced breeders who breed to improve the breed and who follow the AKC & breed club guidelines should be breeding. Please, have your female spayed as soon as it is healthy.

well do not train them yet let them socialize to you first and get too know you first that make training easier but wait untill they are
1 1\2 months old - 2 months old first i know people say that if you train a dog earlier it will be better but not that early! and you can't seperate your puppies with your dog that quick yet you have to let them get used to other people too
so untill they are at least 1 month old then just let them get used to you okay.
trust me thats better but once they are 1 month here is a list to the different trick to teach them (and do it in that order)
1. NO
2. potty train
3.come
4stay
5 any thing like shake sit down high five roll over
(but that is a little advanced for puppies so just stick with the 4th ones
GOOD LUCK!!

Hi Sweety, You will have to wait until is 7weeks old. This is not to early to start. Have short sessions in train. You want to start out with the basics... Sit,Stay,Come, and down. I would start with sit and slowly work on that until the pup knows sit very will.Just go down the line. You can use little puppy milk bones in training. Like on sit, put the milk bone in your hand and then go up to your pup and say, sit ,take your hand with the treat and bring above her head. She will sit for you, as long has you bring it about her head. Do this for 2 times and stop. Continue the train like this and you should not have any problems. Potty training, you should take your pup out after eating about 30-40 minutes after the pup has eaten. After that take your pup out every hour until the pup gets older, then it's very 2 hours.Always tell the pup her or she is a good boy or girl after potting and when they do something right. You could try and crate train your pup. They will let you know when they have to go out. Anyway these are a few.Never get mad in your training. If you do the pup will not learn.Always be nice and kind to your pup and you 2 will have an unbreakable bond. Have fun with your pet and take your time. A Friend.
P.S. YOU DIDN'T TELL WHAT YOUR PUP'S NAME WAS!!

When the pups are about 4 -5 weeks old, they naturally try to crawl out of their bed to go potty on a paper,so please put puppypads or newspapers down outside their bed. They will soon go on the paper every time they need to..as the pups grow older, move the papers a little closer to the door every day, until the pups go to the door when they need to go potty.Thats your sign...now you are ready to open the door for the pup,put a paper outside the door(maybe place a rock on it,so it dont blow away)and praise your puppy when it uses the paper outside the door...soon enough, you can forget about the paper..when the puppy needs to go,it will go TO THE DOOR.Housebroken.As long as you open the door for it,or put in a doggie-door...

yea, just take ur time with them and u can't get fustrated with the puupies no matter wat happens, but dont' teach them any tricks that has to do with jumping because puppies jumping at such a young age could hurt the puppy, i dogs too, remember that some tricks can be complicated so it might take longer for them to learn the tricks

For the first month, teach them to sit, stand, roll over...make sure you phrase them good dog or good boy/girl,and let them have some dog snacks if they did what you say...you could create any tricks, you just have to phrase them and give them snacks...

you cannot house train a pup until it is 12 weeks of age.. often older....
the BEST thing you can do for any dog is to spay or neuter it.. there are too many health risks for unfixed dogs...
