My reading of Shariah law says that this is illegal. There was a Muslim couple in Egypt who were married, and when the man said thing in public that were interpreted as anti-Muslim, the local imams forced her into a divorce because they said that her husband was no longer a Muslim and that she would have to marry someone else.
"In Egypt, public authorities annulled, without his consent, the marriage of Prof. Nasr Abu Zayd when he got in conflict with an orthodox Islamic cleric from the Al-Azhar University in Cairo. The cleric had condemned Abu Zayd's reading of the Qur'an as being against the orthodox interpretation and labelled him an apostate (seen as a non-believer and consequently not permitted to marry or stay married to a Muslim woman). Abu Zayd fled to the Netherlands, where he is now a professor at the university of Leiden."

I do not understand why you equate Muslim with white man or woman? There is no relationship. Muslims come like most other people--Black, White, Oriental, etc.,. There are many races and nationalities.
If a Muslim woman really follows her religion, she would not marry a non Muslim, as by the Muslim religion, the children always follow the faith of the father. She would want her children raised Muslim.

Assalamu alaikum my dear sister pam. You are the honey of your husband. Is it the reality in your life or is it just as your fiction or illusion? If it is in reality that your husband is a non muslim whose age is older 18 years older than your own age and now he has long illness you must keep be patient. You know that a muslim woman including the one who reverts, could not marry non muslim man. You are right but you must try without force to teach him how well about Islam. You must make supplication or du'a to Allah for changing his heart into Islam after you made tahajud shalat. You must take care him as easy as possible just like caring your own father although he is not a muslim.By giving care we hope he will think that Islam is very perfect and the only true religion. You can stay with him until his death but you should treat him not as a husband because in line with the Qur'an and hadith the muslim woman is for muslim man. You marriage is invalid in line with the Qur'an and hadith. In your case, mankind and humanism involve the important role. You must treat him well in his remaining life based on that basis.

Yes but the woman would be expected to convert to Islam. A Muslim woman who married a non-Muslin man would be looked down on and I think Islam would also denounce her too.

This is one of the things I disagree with Islam about.I don't think it's right.A Christian man is therefore inferior to a Muslim man by this way of thinking. They just don't openly admit they all think that.Instead you get answers like the kids must be the religion of the father. It's a nice way of saying,we'll live with you,but leave our women alone.Whatever.
I have asked this same question.
Oh,and I do think there is something exciting about Muslim women(Arab women anyways)...thats why I hate the rule so much!!!!

Very uncommon, not allowed in our religion, but yes there are people that have done this (They are usually not very religious :)
As far as my experience goes!
If the girl happens to fall in love she can not marry the man till he is a believer!
