It is the largest American heavy machine gun. The Soviet Dishka is larger and has significantly more energy. It is a 12.7 with a significantly larger case capacity. There is a big difference between the American .50 cal (most commonly known as the M2HB) and the Dishka although you would not want to be on the receiving end of either one.
