Christmas is not about gift giving, it is about the birth of Christ, the gifts came about as a symbol of that. As when he received the gifts from the Three Wish Men while he was a baby. With that being said, even though your father may have disappointed you: think about the true purpose of the gift. If he can not afford what you want, then you should lower your standards. He may not be able to say no and may attempt to give you something that may be a hardship. It is more important to have the love of your family at a time like this and in doing so you will feel the true spirit of Christmas.

Simplyl ask your dad how what he is prepared to spend on you. That way you know where you stand otherwise it can be a very awkward question.

i am getting something extremely expensive and alittle more so if you really want it ask for it. the worst that could happen is he says no and the best you get what you want
