Well I know about both Mental Health, and Religion/Spirituality. But blue light? I don't know. It might mean something specific to her. What does she think it is? Has she drawn a picture of it? You can tell a lot about what is in a child's mind by their art. Just casually, it an off handed non-treating way, while you are doing something else ask her about it and see what she says. Does she dream about it? Has she seen a scary movie or had some scary thing happen to her or someone she knows? It could be some sort of projection. I don't think it is anything otherworldly. I assume, of course, that you have or are taking her to a medical doctor for a physical.

First step is to check to make sure that it's not a medical thing. Get her checked out by a doctor. Determine what common thread there may be between the sightings (reflection off a mirror, low blood sugar, whatever) and see if you can track down a mundane explanation.
If you can't find anything at all in common and a doctor confirms that she's not suffering from any medical or visual problems, then consider the possibility that she's got the Sight. For some people, spirits are seen as blue balls of light... but quite frankly, the mundane suggestions are more than likely to explain what she's seeing.

Before anything else, you should get her checked out for migrains. People who get them sometimes don't develip the actual head ache, but get what is called an aura, (see flashing lights) see squiggly flashing, jagged flashing. My daughter experienced this when she was young.
If she is fine physically, I would take this serious, as young people don't make up tales like that. If she is going to school, is there anyone telling her scary stories? Has she seen anything disturbing on tv, or in a movie? I found that the movies I would'nt let my daughter watch at home, were being played at school.
This is only a suggestion but I would sit down with her, and have a casual conversation, find out if anything is bothering her at school, or if you have lots of people (family) visiting, how is she getting along with cousins, they telling you any scary stories? If things are fine that way, I would still take this as legitamite.

One time I got punched in the eye and I saw a burst of blue light. It was instantaneous. Is she hitting her eye at all? It may just be an optical problem. I doubt it's a spirit. It could be a reflection though.

Take her to a doctor, to be sure. I used to go through something similar when I was a teenager. It turned out for me it was the fact that my blood sugar levels would drop suddenly. If my blood sugar levels dropped very quickly, everything would go purple, then I'd pass out for a few seconds.
In the meantime, give your daughter some fruit when she complains of this vision and to be safe make sure a professional sees her.

sounds like an hmm, think they are called l.e.d. lights that give off a blue light. I think somewhere along the way she has not been scared, but has been terrified by one, so as to leave a ghost on her memory.
I agree, though, with others who suggest taking her to a doctor. always check for the more normal reasons before going after anything else. remember please, that getting upset and panicky in her presence will only traumatize her more.
good luck

First, take her to a doctor and rule out any possible medical problems. If nothing is found and she continues to see the light it could mean that she can see "spirits." As long as nothing bad comes from it I wouldn't worry about it. But you may need to help her learn about and understand it as she grows up.

Consult an opthalmologist promptly. It is more likely medical than optical. Check it out quickly, before permanent damage is done.

This could be an indication of an ophthalmic migraine. Take her to a doctor. Why ask about stuff like that here? Eliminate any natural causes

Well it certainly sounds a lot like a blue Foo fighter orb to me, we starfish see a lot of them around the ocean, don't worry though they're usually just curious and mean no harm.
