When you are at MEPS and you sign your contract, does it state your job in the contract? I also heard that you pick 3 or 4 jobs that you like and they choose the one they want you to have. Is this true?

That is pretty much correct.

When you report to MEPS for your final physical before reporting for boot camp, you will sign a form confirming your choice of job request (unless you are signing up for a job-specific program or are in a Reserve unit).

You will normally not find your final job assignment until either the end of Boot Camp, or once you reach your advanced school.

To give an idea, I joined the Marine Corps under a special program only open to Infantry. At the end of boot camp, they confirmed I was going to Infantry school. But even in the Infantry, there are multiple jobs (rifleman, mortaman, machinegunner, anti-tank). Only when I reported to Infantry school was I assigned a specific job assignment.

no when you get back from meps you and your recruiter will sit down with your scores and go over the whole job board it has every job in the corps and he will circle the jobs you qualified for you pick the top three and then narrow it down by the details.i know because Ive done this already and I'm getting ready for recruit training.any more questions about the delayed entry program just email me and i should be able to tell you.

I don't have the exact answer, but I when I joined the DEP it didnt have my job on the contract. But I was joining the reserves so my job was guranteed, most jobs in active duty will not be. Although you will get what you want, don't worry. If you want infantry, you will get infantry. You just might not get the specific MOS within Infantry.
