It just happened and I see from your point of view the Police were already in the wrong. Considering at least one officer got run down with the car it also hit another vehicle numerous times I'd have to say there's a bit more to the story then overzealous cops.

Let me see, these men had just hit and perhaps killed one undercover officer with thier car and had just hit rammed trying to hurt other undercover officers ?

And the officers shot to stop them.

I am having a problem wondering who would not have done the same thing if they were there.

You are there as a police officer, you just see one of your close friends and co-workers go flying where tehy are hit, you are in, or see your other friends and workers get rammed in thier car.

You don't know what the people in the car are going to do, and you may also know more info about them from the undercover operation.

People like Sharpton who has no idea what he is ever talking about and is only a hate spreader with his racist comments, need to shut up and allow an investigation be done.

I don't know but it makes me sick.If the shooting was unjustified I think the city and all of the officials will try as hard as they can to make everything look justified. I think they do this because they are a.) afraid to look legally liable for any wrong doing for reasons of bad publicity and no wantting to be sued and b.) don't want to admit that the officers made a seriously poor decision because then even more people would feel unsafe in their own communtiy and the city would have a lot to answer to. Now if the shooting was justified it's going to be a lot easier to close the case. Now let's just see what happens. I am glad you asked that question to bring some atttention to that incident. I hope you get some good answers.

The news article says the men were "unarmed", but that's not true. They were armed: with a 2,000 pound vehicle. A car can be used as a weapon, and can very easily kill a person. In those situations, a vehicle is considered a deadly weapon.

The car hit a police vehicle and a police officer. They didn't just try to hit the officer, they actually hit him. You can bet your sweet a** that if you intentionally try to hit me with your car, I am going to empty my weapon trying to stop you. The same goes if you are intentionally trying to hit another officer (or even any other person) while I am there.

My guess is the officers started shooting when the guy hit the first officer and was heading towards another one. If the driver was using his vehicle as a deadly weapon, the officers were justified in using deadly force to stop him.

But when it comes down to it, this investigation is just beginning. Wait until all the facts are in to make a judgement.

There's no way to determine exactly what happened or why the groom tried to hit the officer but i can tell you the officers used extreme force and they will get away with it, since they have before in the last few years.

ATTEMPT MURDER OF A POLICE OFFICER.

Read the article yourself.

Bad guys car ran over an officer.

Deadly force is allowed when a 'deadly weapon' is used against an Officer.

I saw this earlier, and I have lots of questions, I would like to wait for the answers before I make an absolute conclusion.

I don't know anything about the news article(from UK), but it seems the story behind the shooting is a lot bigger than the media are letting on.I'm sure the truth will come out or will it?

They haven't gotten away with anything yet. We only have the media report, which is usually not the whole story. We just have to wait until we get the whole scoop.

They are still investigating and right now it's too early to tell what happened.
