I used to volunteer sorting food for a food bank/food pantry when I was under 18. You can also write letters for places like Amnesty International. You can get involved in raising money for many good causes - you can even get your school involved to really raise awareness. There's a lot of environmental work that you can do - planting trees in parks etc. We had an environmental science teacher at our high school. If you have one, ask them or another teacher who is into the environment for ideas. Guidance counselors at your school might also know of places needing volunteers and there may be listings in your local paper. I hope you have a great experience and good luck!

Check with a local high school counselor. They have listings of places that will allow volunteers under the ge of 18. Also you may just try the school(s) and churchs.

I dont really know, but look in the phone book.
Here is what I have done volunteering in my own freakish way. Dont try this at home kids......... If i have extra money on any given day its even better if its not a holiday go where the homless reside so to speak and give them food homemade or arbys 5 for 5 whatever, wlak the streets and put quarters in peoples meters that re about to expire downtown. Use your imagination..... but dont let your left hand know what your right hand is doing..... feels great!!!!!!!!!!

If you live in L.A. there's:
Hospitals-you'd be a candy striper-
Unity Center
Boys and Girls Club
YMCA-not for service hours-
Some American Red Cross
Libraries
School Districts
But if these don't help very much than try this website there's like hundreds more that would be around your area: www.1-800-Volunteer.org
Hope i helped

Park district, library, city hall, any church, scouting programs, hospitals (some allow it), nursing homes, or see the county for opportunities. or just start calling neighbors that may need help.

Government agencies are required to help with this. Check with them.
