Since God's will is the highest good you could have for your life, you could expect your life, and yourself, to not turn out quite as good as God has in mind. This could be something not even noticeable to you in this lifetime, or it could be a series of difficulties until you get back on track.

I would talk to a good minister or Christian counselor. Most answers on this site will not be very helpful for a serious question like this. Keep praying.
Moses didn't want to follow God's instruction at first and neither did Jonah.
The Bible says: His ways are higher than our ways.

Then you will not inherit God's kingdom and will stab yourself with many pains and you probably already have stabbed yourself(1Timothy6:10)and you will probably missout on the greatest possible happines in life now and in the future but ofcourse you have the free will to choose not to follow God's will and learn the hard way

Take it from me. If you do not do what you know is Gods will for your life, you will regret it. Now I do not mean you will be punished or anything of the like, but you will not live life to its fullest. Happy is the man who does the will of the Lord. The opposite is also very true.

You can't NOT do God's will.
It may seem to us at times that we're way off and not doing God's will.....but in the end we'll all see that everything we did that we thought was against God's will was exactly as God had willed it.
The important thing is what you learn on the journey.

How can anything be outside of God's will?
You get to choose what and how to do your own life. There are no punishments, only consequences and causes and effects.

No one knows the will of God so don't worry about it. Do what you think is right and trust me, your God won't be surprised. Don't forget that we are all human and even David Koresh believed he was following God's infallible will.

You yourself choose to incarnate onto this earth. You came here to do a task and learn as much as possible. If your task is incomplete when you die you will have to incarnate onto this earth once again until you complete your task.(or tasks) Until this is done you can not move up to a higher vibration. You have free will and can choose any path, even the wrong ones.

God's will provides for the best possible outcome, both for you, and for others.
You can certainly go your own way.
Just don't blame God of you wind up in the wrong place, at the end.

It is OK to choose your own way. When I was young I Knew in my heart that I was to be a traveling Preacher. I didn't want to do that, so I chose my own life. No lighting striking me just my own way to live. No anger, no hate, aways love.
