The man in the bible was running naked amonst the toombs. The
people said no chain would hold him. When jesus cast the demons out of him, he went back to the city praising god. Today he would
have been put in a mental hosp. and filled with psycotropic drugs.
Present day. Two people in group therapy were hearing voices.
The voices didn't say, love your neighbor, do good today, the voices told them to kill themselves or hurt someone else. A man
comes to take his medicine at the window. He must talk to his demon(which has a name) to get premission to take them. A young
lady met another lady in college involved in witchcraft, said she went
to a church filled with witches, now I here in this mental hosp. my
thoughts stolen, my mind like jellow. Most chtistians believe jesus
did cast demons out of people, but don't believe when you talk
about them today.

I'm not willing to give a definite yes, but definitely willing to consider it a possibility.

I read M. Scott Peck's book "Glimpses of the Devil." It truly opened a whole new way of looking at certain issues. I was totally convinced before reading that book that possession was simply not possible. I looked at Jesus' 'casting out of demons' as simply healings. I'm not so convinced now and wonder if Charles Manson is completely and utterly possessed...

This sort of thing still happens. A strong willpower is the best defense against demons. Demons can only hurt us as far as we let them. They have limits. They begin by making a person obsess over something harmful untill his willpower is weak enough for them to possess him. It takes more than one demon to possess a man. Somethings I know can help. Taking a cold shower, or letting the cold water run down your head and back can loosen the grip of any etherical being. You can do this after the normal, hot shower. Cold, running water is a good etherical eraser, but cold, standing water is a good etherial conductor. Best thing is to build your willpower, which will be tough on meds and going to therapy. Therapy might help with that though.

From a biblical stand point, yes. It is entirely possible that mental illness could have some roots in the spiritual world.

Answer: Call an exorcist. If you're right, then you've just solved a great number of problems for a lot of people. If you're wrong, no harm done.

Consider it this way, in today's socioty we want medical reasons and medical cures. If you start saying Jesus will make someone better, then you have to start saying medicine has no place in that aspect, and eventually no place at all.

Consider that through doctors, Jesus gives his power to remove demons through medicine, in a much more difficult process.

Of course, I'm a Buddhist, so I can't say too much for one side or the other.

yes I believe so, schizophrenia could be related to demon torture, because the "Hallucinations and crazy thoughts" are spurred by the evil spirits, i think that anxiety, depression, etc. are all atleast partially influenced by demons, yet many are blind of the spiritual realm> i believe that drugs, sex, etc. all contribute to bad illnesses>

Yeah, I kind of believe in what you say, but the Islamic view of it is kind of different from the christian view.

Peace.
