Suposely Jesus was baptised by John the Baptist to get rid of the "sin" at the moment of the conception between Mary and Josep...But in the Bible it also says tht Jesus was consived without sin , that Mary was still a virgin when Jesus was born...So if Jesus was concibed without sin by the holy spirit and keeping Mary as a Virgin... why dis John the Baptist baptised Jesus? The Baptism is to get rid of the sin in wich th baby was made.....
It's so confusing, maybe something is a lie....what? the extrange conception of the Virgin Mary, still being virgin even the boy was born? or John the baptist make a mistake?
well....it's up to you I BELIVE IN GOD NOT THE BIBLE

More than likely he was just there to bathe in the river anyway.Maybe some would argue about humbling himself before John the Baptist as a gesture of respect for him and what he did.Jesus had said that what you do to the least of these you do to me also.I don't have an issue with it. You're reading way too much into something without knowing the truth. This is a negative application you are applying so you're fishing in a toilet for excuses. Unless you had witnessed everything from that time without prejudice it's difficult to usually grasp it without faith. From the perspective of immortality one death on a cross to start a religion seems to be a safe bet.Mortals usually only understand living sacrifice as an example of faith or honor. A virgin woman represents an undefiled vessel or purity. Would it sound better to you if she was just the babysitter? This isn't a sitcom drama you know.

Jesus was not baptised to get rid of the sin of conception, since His birth was immaculate. Jesus is the Word of God made flesh. He was not born the way that humans are born. Mary did not have sex with her husband Joseph until after Jesus was born. Mary was a virgin till then, and later had other children with Joseph, so she was no longer to be considered a virgin.

The baptism of Jesus was not to get rid of any sins. Jesus didn't sin. He was perfect. The shedding of His blood on the cross was to cleanse the world of mankind's sins since Eden.
The baptism was, once again, Jesus showing man by example, how to gain back the eternal life that was lost in Eden. The act of baptism shows that you must be born again to have eternal life in Paradise. (Heaven).

You are correct to believe in God, and not just the bible, you must be able to understand it first. The bible is a translation of the Holy Scriptures. The old testament is written in Hebrew, and the new testament is written in many other languages. The Holy Scriptures have been translated so many times, that they are bound to lose something in the translations. The best and most reliable translation is the King James Version, but now even that has been retranslated from the King's English. Just pray to God for the understanding of His Holy Words. The Holy Scriptures were inspired by God.
It really starts to make sense when you see the connections between the different books. This takes much time, and a good knowledge of what names mean will help too. These are some things that helped me get a better understanding, along with researching history.
Good Luck in your search for the truth.

Jesus was baptized because;
1. He was confessing sin on behalf of the nation, as Nehemiah, Ezra, Moses, and Daniel had done.
2. He was showing support for what John was doing.
3. He was inaugurating his public ministry.
4. He was idenfifying with the penitent people of God, not with the critical Pharisees who were only watching. Jesus, the perfect man, did not need baptism for sin, but he accepted baptism in obedient service to the Father and God showed his approval.

In the Catholic Religion, the baptism removes what is called "Original Sin" that is not the result of the parents having sex because their having sex is not a sin
With regard to the Immaculate Conception, that is the fact that Mary was born without Original Sin, it had nothing to do with the actual birth of Jesus except that she was selected to give birth to the Lord.

Many religious historians believe that Jesus was actually a follower of John the Baptist's for awhile and that's why he was baptized. The moment of his baptism (as told in the bible) is actually a huge moment in Jesus' life. The skys open up and god's voice is heard to say "this is my son of whom I am extremely proud". It is also at this time when his ministry starts.

Question: "Why was Jesus baptized? Why was Jesus' baptism important?"

Answer: Water baptism is used as a way to identify. In Jesus’ day, when a Gentile would convert to Judaism, he would have to be publicly baptized to identify him as a convert. Obviously, Jesus was not converting to anything. Jesus’ baptism was an identification of Jesus with the Father and the Holy Spirit. Jesus was baptized to publicly announce Himself as God’s Son, and to pronounce the beginning of His ministry with the Holy Spirit’s power. Jesus did not “need” the Holy Spirit. However, to set an example for us, Jesus emptied Himself (Philippians 2:7) and relied upon the Holy Spirit’s power. Jesus' baptism and reliance upon the Holy Spirit is an example that we are to follow in our own lives.

Jesus was Baptized to set the example for us. He was without sin so it was not for his sins. Also, it was a public declaration that his ministry had begun. It gave God the opportunity to speak from heaven confirming that Jesus was his son and had his approval in the work he was to begin and when he was baptized, the heavens were opened (he remembered his prehuman life in heaven) and holy spirit desended upon him to help him understand what God wanted him to do and how to do it.

First of all, Jesus wasn't conceived between Mary and Joseph.

Second, being conceived without sin has nothing to do with Mary being a virgin. Being conceived without sin is being cinceived without the sin of Adam and Eve.

Jesus was baptized as an example to us. He was showing us what we are to do, as He did many times.

God bless,

Mat 3:13 ¶ Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him.

Mat 3:14 But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me?

Mat 3:15 And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer [it to be so] now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him.

Mat 3:16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:

Mat 3:17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
