Birds need at least 10 hours of sleep in order to be rested. If you cover her cage, she gets this, plus it protects her from any drafts, and she won't see anything that might move by her cage, and waking her up!
The reason birds chirp in the morning is because in the wild, they call out to their buddies in the morning as if to say hey let's go get some breakfast! They do it in the evenings also as if to say hey let's preen eachother and go to bed!

The very WORST thing you could do is buy it a mate. All it will do is cause the two of them to become one loud noise factory together, I know this because I did that exact thing! I figured my bird was lonely, nope! Now she just has one more bird to be loud with!!
I would recommend letting your bird get at least 10 hours of sleep, and decrease the daylight so your bird gets around 10 or less hours of daylight. In doing this they will think that its winter time and not the spring, cause guess what spring time is mating season, If your lovie gets tons of light, they think its time to mate, which is one reason they will call out, and often! Also if you make sure Lisa gets a good sound sleep ie no noises in the room during her sleeping time you decrease the rebelious behavior, and that could mean a cut back in noise!

Good luck!

Have you tried covering her up with an old tablecloth or sheet? That may help, I have birds and it soon shuts them up but some birds may be different. Mine talk when it rains hard and they're still covered but I think if a bird is totally in the dark she may not squawk.

What you should do is put a thick piece of cloth over her cage so when she wakes up ready to start screaming she will notice since there is no light she will think it is still night.

Lovebirds need companionship. If you don't want to give it to her, then get her a mate. Also...are you sure it's a female? They usually lay eggs by the time their two.
As suggested, you can cover her at night and possibly train her to know that you'll give her attention when you wake up. I hope you don't sleep until noon.

Hey its birdy nature to scream in the morning..its their way of greeting the sun i guess...and i believe its tough to teach such things,However,if you love tweety you can probably learn to adjust with the birdy sound in the morning..get ur self used to it .It would be real sweet of you.

If you drape a dark cloth over the cage at night, she should stay quiet until you lift it in the morning.

Hope that helps!

Lisa sounds lonely. Don't lovebirds need a sexual partner? Why are they called lovebirds? Could it mean they want to make love not war? Or at least more lovebirds? GET ANOTHER LOVEBIRD, A MALE!!! Lisa want to lose some fruit; are you blind?
