try bronzer. . .and then lots of sunscreen.
DON'T GET A TAN! Your skin might not tolerate it and you could have a higher risk of melanoma! (skin cancer)

Skin that has been tanned by the sun/solarium is unhealthy skin, as tanning created by these sources is a sign of skin damage. Both the sun and tanning salons are no-go zones, as they both damage your skin and can lead to skin cancers.
I would suggest using fake tans if you want the tanned look. The only healthy tanned skin is those who have been born with it.
However, your pale skin is a sign of health. Celebrate it! Make sure you wear an approved sunscreen which is at least SPF30+. There are heaps of sunscreens are there which are no good.

Do not ever let the sun burn you. Do you have any idea how bad that is for your skin??
You should use sunscreen everyday and include it in your daily regime.
Use sunless tanning lotions if you want to be tan. Stay away from direct sun and tanning beds. Your skin will thank you in 25 years.

i'm pale too....i take an hour outside in the sun, and i'm fried. The best thing to do is: EMBRACE YOUR PALENSS. since most people are tan, why not be different? I've tried to get myself tan; going out in the sun more, spray on tan, bronzer products, etc. it all looks fake and uneven. now i just use moisturizer and i glow. it looks a lot better, trust me.

go to the tanning bed and start out very slowly. I mean like 3 minute sessions at first. slowly work your way up to staying in there a little longer at a time. you will get a tan.

Jergens Natural Glow moisturizers work great. After seven days you are three shades darker, and it's very natural looking. Not orange. Try the one for the face too.
Be sure to get the one for fair skin, not medium tones. Otherwise your going to end up looking unnatural.
Hope I helped.
