Waffles... because they are crisp on the outside and soft within. and the little square on it are good for holding in syrup and fruits.

Whole wheat waffles with butter and homemade maple syrup (I've never had natural maple syrup, but I've heard it's good).

Also, the waffles would be the small squares, not the Belgian waffle. I've never liked the Belgian waffle, regardless of the recipe.

But, I've enjoyed pancakes even less, and if I find myself having breakfast at a place like Denny's, I always ask for toast, usually wheat toast, instead of the pancakes that would otherwise come with the meal.

It depends on the texture you prefer. A waffle is usually crispier while a pancake is softer. I prefer pancakes but I can make a waffle that tastes a lot like them.
