Commercial airliners travel slower than the speed of sound and usually cruise between 500 and 600 mph.
The fastest planes can travel at greater than Mach III, 3 times the speed of sound which is about 770 mph, so faster than 2200 mph

It depends on a number of factors such as the gravity of the planet it's flying on, the atmospheric composition like is the atmosphere made of methane or nitro-oxide. Also it depends on who is flying the plane. If it's a jihadist it is probably flying really fast (800 mph) because they are likely trying to crash the plane. If it is an old person the speed is probably low (250 mph) because they are old. If it is a woman chances are the plane never successfully took off because woman can't fly. Lastly if it is a man chances are the plane is flying wonderfully because men are so lovely. All in all when you add all these factors together the average speed is roughly 575 mph.

Commercial jets travel from speeds ranging from 500 MPH to 650 MPH. The president's Plane travels at 630 MPH. Commercial jets don't go much faster because if they go the speed of sound (Mach 1) or 761 MPH they would tear apart from the sonic boom unless built to withstand it and the sonic boom would be strong enough to shatter windows on the ground even from higher altitudes. Fighter jets can go up to 1800+ MPH. The speed of sound AT SEA LEVEL is 761 MPH. The higher you go the less fast you have to travel to break the sound barrier. So they typically go from 500 to 650 MPH depending on size and engine power.

well, we can calculate the travel of philippines air lines according to their miles against the hours of flight..
approximately there is 7,290 miles to reach manila from los angeles against 13:45 hours of flight, that makes the plane travel 542.00743 mph for 747 carrier, the jumbo jet that carry large volume of passenger...
from manila to seoul, korea, approximately 1624 miles for 4 hours, that makes the plane travel 406 mph since this is for airbus, a smaller plane that carry practically half of the 747....
those fighter jet is faster and they are built for speed travel, probably between thrice to quart calculation approximately 1600 to 1700 mph than regular passenger plane and that consider slow rate...
concord is faster passenger plane but not equal to fighter jet since they are heavier with those loads and occupants..while fighter jet is only load with 2, the pilot and the co-pilot...easy maneuver and can fly faster than light...
