Each aircraft is its own beast. I have flown a LOT of different aircraft types. Everything from single engine Cessna, Piper, Bonanza, Cirrus, Beech to the light twins (Seminole/Seneca/Navajo, 310, Baron, Duchess) to regional jets (Do328-300 and CRJ's) I have found that the CRJ is probably the most responsive in terms of roll. Its roll rate is WAY beyond that of a cessna or even a Cirrus. The heavy metal generally is a bit more sluggins in terms of feel, simply because it takes more forve to move that much metal around, but some heavier aircraft are surprisingly agile.

I don't know what its like to fly big iron(Boeing, Airbus, etc) but I will someday. As for a Cessna. FUN! Very maneuverable and it can go any way you want except upside down. If i you really want to know and just want to experience flight try taking a discovery flight. http://www.beapilot.org has a ton of listings around your area that will let you go up and control a small aircraft with a flight instructor of course for about 60 bucks. I always tell people who either want to get into flight or learn a lil more about it to do this. It helps them understand it a little better.

Ah the perfect question. Flying a commercial jet is like trying to turn a semi while driving 500MPH they are sluggish and depending on weather they take forever to make turns. it's like driving your can and you want to turn a quarter mile ahead...Whoops too late you missed your mark
On the other hand I fly an older bonanza at home and ZOOM it turns on a dime and is real quick on the turns.
