For both conditions it is best to get a prescription from the doctor to help. Monitor the resident with hypertension by taking his blood pressure every day, and keep his sodium intake down. With swollen feet have the resident walk daily to keep the blood circulating and keep them elevated as much as possible.

Hypertension is commonly called high blood pressure and the patient is probably on a medication for it. Keep the salt intake low in the diet (also probably taken care of by the facility's dietician). The swelling of the feet could be several things, and the patient's doctor would have to be informed.

1st teach the person to do concentration and keep the mind cool. 2nd. if salt is reduced in the food swelling of the feet will subside. If your client can take barley it will solve her/his problems.
