I feel this way about my son, too. I went ahead and hired an agent for children in NYC. Since hiring them in Aug., postdating a few checks for fees, getting his pics taken, I'm still waiting. The agent loved his look and demeanor also and really talked a very optimistic game. No calls yet. The problem is that so many other people feel the way we do, it's a one in a million chance they even get in. Remember to always check the child labor laws of the company and make sure (!!!) they are registered with the better business bureau too.

I'm sure your child is truly beautiful. We all think our kid is good enough for modeling, acting, etc. Please read through articles that you can search on the Internet about the negative aspects of modeling for a child this young. They are subjected to many things that can harm them. A lot of these kids grow up with self esteem problems, bulimia and eating disorders. There are many pedophiles in the modeling world that you need to be concerned about, too. Girls are taught to "shake their butt" in front of the judges to earn points, they are basically taught and expected to act like a grown woman. From the wigs, make-up, false eyelashes, walk, shake, etc.
Finally, could you imagine asking a 3 year old to hold still for hours while you do up their hair and make-up? I guess if you stuck them in front of the TV they would do it, but is that what you want for your child? Seems like robbing them of their childhood to me.
Please think long and hard before you make this move. I think it would be a huge mistake for you and your child.
Personally, my own opinion is that modeling a child is child abuse. It should be banned and against the law. Maybe you should buy yourself a dog and take it to dog shows instead.

Every parent feels the same about their child. Everyone told me to put my kids into modeling. I kept getting told that my baby looked like the gerber baby. I looked into in for a while, and the more I researched it, the less I liked the idea. Imagine dedicating your whole life to it, modeling shoot to shoot. It also prevens the children from being kids forcing them to work instead of having fun. Enjoy your daughter and how beautiful she is, and wait until she is older, it is a cruel world to put kids into. If she wants to model when she is older, then it would be her decision.

Then put her in both she might go far with acting, u can be in movies and anything
and modeling is good too dont force her though or she might not want to do it and would become a failiure and will someday hate you for making her do something she doesnt like

Let the child be a child. DO NOT submit her to the miserable life style of modeling or acting. I totally believe that any parent who subjects their child to this type of life style is abusing that child. Just appreciate her for who she is and don't try to make her something you wish her to be.

as long as she's living her dream and not yours then you should go ahead with it but be aware of who and what will be looking at your three year old when they model they dress up and wear alot of make up that makes them look alot older than they are my biggest fear is sexual predators when you put your daughter out there like that although you think it is harmless everyone in the world sees her its a scary world these days so please be careful! Good luck though!

As a mother it is so great to be proud of our KIDS.
It is great to get them into "learning". BUT-
Don't put her on display like she's your puppet, it is so wrong when people do that to kids and parade them round.
Good on you for being proud but LISTEN TO YOURSELF.
So many other kids are "perfect" and the parents are proud to let them be "perfect" "kids" and let them grow up and make their own choices rather than convince the child this is what they want, what they are good at and that they enjoy it, because years later she will grow up and resent you for not letting her have a childhood and allowing her to make up her own mind on what she's good at and enjoys.
Be realistic, grow a brain.
