My girlfriend wants a yorky, we agreed on getting another one. What would be a good dog to get?

She wants a female, I want a male, we aren't going to mate them, just have two good behaved dogs, are there any larger dogs that would not eat a yorky? Or which dog would be best to raise with?

I would say either a Boxer or a German Shepherd because both of them are friendly,kind,obedience,and wont eat your yorky. Plus they will protect yall.

A chow is a larger dog that would work. Get a puppy and raise
it with the yorky. BTW, my German Shepard and my Rottweiler
used to hide from my yorky. Big dogs are for the most part scared of tiny dogs cause they move faster and yipping is intimidateing to large dogs.

I had a pit terrior mixed w/ mastiff and my exwife had a pure bred yorkie mixed w/ a pure bred daschund. My pit use to baby my exwifes dog great combo!

well i would say go with a little bigger of a dog for say a jack russel or a lab. i say a lab but i say deside umungst you and your girlfriend

i rasied my dog and shes a BOXER i tell you what she is the nicest,friendliest, snuggly dog ive ever know and seen if you want id say a BOXER..........they mind really well too....train them the way you want them to be and there you go you have a good dog/friend...............................

well if your girl friend wants a yorkey then get a yorkey but a nother gooddog is a jackrussel i have one of them its a puppy
