Ideal is Illusion.
You figure that out on your own.

Yes. If you do not stand up for what you believe in, you will follow someone else's vision. I wonder what you mean by 'the truth'. The fact of the matter is human kind is greedy and selfish and not above hurting each other for personal gain. I have heard that we must try to be idealistic, seek and encourage the unselfish traits in others despite the 'truth' that man is often selfish. Placidly accepting man's selfishness, and not working to bring his better traits out, will not improve anything. People must be idealistic for things to get better, even if it seems unrealistic.

no, Nothing is more important than the truth.
We may not know the truth and even the best way to worship God but he does and we can't all be right. But for our own survival we should be.
He said, in that day many would say to me Lord, Lord did we not prophecy in your name and do many powerful works in your name and I will confess to them I never knew you get away from me your workers of lawlessness.

not only possible, but very likely! Good point.
However, if something can be fairly debated, then how does one define "truth" in that context? Whose truth? Mine? Yours?

The greatest idol in the world is one's own opinion. What else do men hold so dear and esteem so highly as their own arrogant little notions ?
