Assuming you mean a noun, Latin makes several distinctions. You could use voluntas, voluntatis to mean will or desire.
You could use libido, libidinis which means yearning or desire. Lastly, you could use lubido, lubidinis which a burning lust, passion or desire.
All three are third declension feminine.
appeto, appetere, appetivi, appetitus is a verb meaning to seek, desire or yearn after.
capto, captare, captavi, captatus can mean a desire or try to catch, aim for or hunt.
Lastly, studeo, studere, studui means to strive or desire or to be eager for.
