You can't be sure with men. It sound to me that he probably doesn't want to make any type of commitment to you until he probably finds out what he can get away with with you. You know how men are about commitment and relationships. Basically, I think whatever he said has to deal with sex. Most men just think like that expecially young ones.

As long as what he means by "want to get to know you a lot better" isn't SEX, then it's a perfectly reasonable request. He just means he doesn't want to jump into a "relationship". So many people nowadays think that one or two dates means that you have to commit to each other and stop seeing other people completely. Hey...at least he's being honest with you! That's actually a plus. You wouldn't want him to take on the title of "boyfriend" and then realize that he doesn't feel compatible with you and start seeing other people behind your back. Take it slow, don't pressure him OR yourself. Revel in your freedom here, too. Keep seeing him as long as you feel like you want to, and then if you two start to feel more for each other, take it to the next level.

What he meant was "I want to get to know you better before I make a commitment." I'm not into over-analyzing the guy's answers, so I'd say he made this pretty blunt. He's obviously interested, make it worth his while and he'll warm up to you!

cause he doesn't want to be your boyfriend.

Maybe he never will or maybe one day he will.
