Soda is not harmful when drinking in moderation, no more than 2 cans, or bottles a day. it does have an effect on your skin. If possible stay away from it, and drink water.....It's the best.
My brother, was a soda drinker, altho he was 35 years old, and always brought soda with him and naturally my children wanted to drink it also....
Does not matter diet or regular soda. I would not allow them too, only occasionally. I grew up with ginger ale, as a soda.

Carbonated products which are laden with caffeine are extremely harmful to the skin because not only does the caffeine act as a dieretic and subsequently dehydrates your endocrine system, but also they containe phosphoric acid which depletes your body of minerals. The chemical reaction allows the phosphor to replace calcium and magnesium which are both neccessary for healthy skin. In order to offset the soda consumption one should consider consuming other forms of liquid that do not contain caffeine. It would not be good to wash your face with coke.

I drink 4 to 6 diet cokes a day and have great skin. I believe it has been determined that what you eat (like oily, greasy food, chocolate) does not have that much to do with your skin condition. What's important is that you eat a well balanced diet with lots of fruits and vegetables.

The high sugar content is not good for your skin as some folks break out from sugar. Soda always makes me feel sick so I stay away from it. Fast foods, donuts, ice cream, candy, cake icing and fried foods also make me sick, and I know they're all bad for me so I just trust my body. If it makes me feel sick, I avoid it.
