Military pay role is paid from the Defense Finance and Accounting Services or DFAS. Each account of where the money comes from their own branch. Army from Army, Navy from Navy, Marine From Marine. But each branch have our own finance office and finance systems. Now Army and Air Force use the same finance system and the Marines and the Navy use another. Overseas if a Marine needs cash they can go into another branches office to take out money but the office will send that advance to DFAS to take from the pay.
