Well it's true that Hitler Mao and Stalin and a few others have murdered more people this past century than all the religious nuts in all the other centuries combined. But then you do have to take in consideration they a had a lot more people at their disposal in one place at one time to work with. Just think of how many more heretics infidels and witches could have been tortured burned drowned hung stabbed drawn quartered and dismembered by the religious folks over all those centuries if they had just had a few more people to work with.

I don't know of any society in the world that is explicitly Atheist, I know our country isn't. Given that they don't exist in any majoritarian sense, I fail to see how they could have killed 2 billion people. Even Nazis incorporated many elements of religion into the Third Reich.

Oh and Hitler was Atheist btw, as were the leaders of most communist nations. The faiths of the average person has no reflection, those who lead the people however, is a diffrent matter. For instance few of Hitlers Cabnet were Christian. Most were Atheist, or Acullt. And it should be noted while in power Hitler tried to rewrite christianity to suit his purpose, and replace the religion as a whole with his own Nazified version. And communist nations whos rethrothic is Atheist killed 120+ million people in the name of progress. The Spanish inquasition killed 100,000 on the other hand.

People in many ways are limmings. In my view the hostility you will recive for this is part of the greater Liberal (Socialist, Communist) Agenda of there war on society and orignized religion. As to why they do it, most of the Atheist leaders have had either a liberal out look on life, or were as they say "strong men" like Stalin. With these political views human life looses most meaning and quickly becomes void in general, or as in Nazi Germany's case any race but yours.

Atheisim in general lacks faith in a higher power that they answer to in death. To think humans can be good of there own free will is a fairy tail, considering in recorded human history we have only been at peace for 300 years total. Given they have no fear of an after life and no sense of payment for there deeds the atheist can move about life with little moral rulings to bound him or her. After all, if I could kill my worse enemies and not worry about punishment I would do so. All Laws are only held in place by goverance and force. However when a person of no moral baring is in a high office then the moral issue is gone, and can have dire results.

Considering the average Atheist's views on Abortion, sexuality, culture, and goverment, the lack of concern for human life should not be a surprise. After all I've me some who would put an animals life above a humans. Thus the price of this new world order, which is hardly new and as in every other case in history will fail.

Atheist also decry the statement of yours, just as they do the clear failure that liberalisim is and all of its bastard Children. And if anyone cares to challange me on this, or claim I am some Far right redneck, I'm not, I just happen to unlike 95% of the human race pay attention to history, and plan ahead. Liberalisim, and Atheisim are as deadly as any Facist or Zealot to humanity. And yes, Religious fanatics have done things that are impossible to defend, and some of them, mostly in the Muslim world, are still performing horrors in the name of their creed. But if religion sometimes disposes people to self-righteousness and absolutism, it also provides a moral code that condemns the slaughter of innocents.

Mankind is not ready to cast aside its moral Religions. We only lernt the world wasn't flat 300 years ago after all. And every day we see how things change we felt certian, humans don't have the answers for everything in my opinion. Hope this helps.

When you do not believe in God, there is no value to the life He created. The purpose of life then is to be manipulated and used for whatever means to an end is at hand. War is the result. For the Christian, there is to be every attempt at reconciliation, and war is a last resort.
